Hello, I'm hoping there is someone out there who can help. Four years ago I adopted a senior horse that had been bounced around from person to person all her life. She is one of those high-strung, sensitive Saddlebreds who are often misunderstood. We developed a great bond and level of trust. She is now 27 years old. Because of her health issues, I am not able to ride her much, but I just want to keep her comfortable and ensure she feels safe and loved.
Unfortunately, I've come on hard financial times. I could surrender her back to the shelter I adopted her from, but they are struggling too, and I can't stand the thought of having to give her up and possibly not ever see her again.
If anyone is able or willing to help, please see my campaign to raise funds to cover her board and grain:
