THanks for everyone's advice regarding my pulling mare! I changed her into an australian Tom Thumb bit (kind of like a fulmer mouth, but with shorter cheekpieces) and she seems to really respond to it, maybe it's the extra stability, who knows. she has just gotten better & better in our rides out. every time she jig jogs i just turn her around & head back the way we came, but usually getting her to do mini serpentines to really get her to lift that inside hind. i keep her on a loose rein & as soon as she thinks about 'faster' or 'pulling' she gets turned around. i only had to do it 2x on our ride out yesterday. Plus, she came back completely dry, not a sweat mark in sight (we only walked) - she normally is dripping in sweat from the anxiety.
